The opportunity 

HESTA is seeking to fill the role of Senior Employment Lawyer in our Legal team.  Reporting to the General Manager – Legal and working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders across the fund, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel on employment law related matters, including OHS, Enterprise Agreement negotiations, performance management, policy reviews, psychosocial hazards and associated risks.  This newly-created role offers the opportunity to shape the fund and mature its OHS function.

About you

You have extensive post qualification experience, either in a law firm or in a similar internal role, have outstanding engagement and influencing skills and are able to effectively navigate dealing with a range of stakeholders.  During your career you have developed a strong knowledge of employment law and how to translate complex legal concepts and regulations into viable and implementable solutions that support an organisation’s evolving strategy.  Most importantly, you have an appetite for growth, achievement and excellence as well as a positive, creative and collaborative energy that you bring to work each day.  We’re eager for the right person to join our team so if this all sounds like you, don’t delay in submitting your application!
