We’re looking for people who are purpose-driven and accountable, who value inclusion and collaboration, and who are proactive in managing risk to protect our members’ long-term outcomes. In return, you’ll be part of an organisation where your work contributes to strong returns, real-world impact, and a culture that reflects the communities our members serve.
Bring your authentic and passionate self to this exceptional role #careerswithimpact
This role sits at the heart of how investment decisions get put into action — managing the transition of investment assets, the implementation of manager and structure changes, and a range of operational initiatives that keep our investment execution running smoothly.
You'll work closely with people across the investment team, external fund managers and custodian. It's a role for someone who enjoys an organised approach to work, thrives on detail, and is comfortable translating complex investment decisions into well-executed, well-documented outcomes.
Please note this role could be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
About the role
- Analyse the implementation aspects of potential investment decisions, including the impact on investment outcomes, and advise stakeholders to ensure successful execution
- Project manage the implementation of investment decisions, manager and asset transitions (including contributions and redemptions), investment structure changes and new instruments
- Develop and maintain a documented control framework for all manager and asset transition events
- Deploy implementation and transition plans and checklists, communicate with stakeholders, and monitor activities to ensure risks are identified and mitigated
- Prepare post-transition reviews to support continuous improvement and quantify implementation costs
About you
- Demonstrated experience in an investment operations role requiring strong numerical application and attention to detail
- Experience in a role requiring an understanding of superannuation investment structures and processes
- Proven ability to build positive relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, with strong communication skills across both business and technical audiences, and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
- Solid understanding of middle, front and back-office processes
- Knowledge of transaction lifecycles for listed assets (equities, debt and cash) and unlisted assets (pooled investment vehicles and direct)
- Working knowledge of derivative products and their use in transitions, rebalances and overlays would be highly desirable
- A collaborative approach, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement and strong risk culture
