As we continue to strengthen our Critical Operations and Business Resilience capability, we’re looking for an experienced Third-Party Management Specialist to help shape and mature our enterprise-wide third-party risk capability.

 

Reporting to the Senior Third Party Management Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in embedding HESTA’s Third-Party Management Framework, strengthening operational resilience and ensuring compliance with CPS 230. Partnering with business leaders, relationship owners, risk teams and service providers, you’ll influence best practice governance.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Embed and continuously enhance HESTA’s Third-Party Management Framework, policies and processes.
  • Drive compliance with CPS 230, including management of the Material Service Provider Register and regulatory notifications.
  • Lead and facilitate third-party due diligence, risk assessments and ongoing monitoring across the supplier lifecycle.
  • Deliver meaningful risk reporting and insights to senior leaders, Executive Risk Forum and Board Risk Committee.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to strengthen vendor governance, operational resilience and risk management
  • practices.
  • Provide trusted advice on third-party risk, outsourcing and CPS 230 obligations, particularly across Investment
  • Management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve frameworks, controls, reporting and governance through continuous improvement and automation.


What You’ll Bring

 

You’ll be a collaborative and commercially minded specialist with experience in third-party management, vendor governance or operational risk within superannuation or financial services.

 

You’ll also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing or operating Third-Party Management or Vendor Risk frameworks aligned with CPS 230.
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk, outsourcing arrangements and regulatory requirements within financial services.
  • Experience conducting third-party due diligence, risk assessments and ongoing assurance activities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the credibility to partner across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience preparing governance reporting for Executive and Board Committees.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for enhancing frameworks, controls and operational effectiveness.
  • Experience with GRC platforms such as Archer or similar (highly regarded).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, risk or a related discipline.
