Join HESTA’s Office of the CEO team in a strategic, high impact role at the centre of a purpose-led, member first organisation. You’ll partner closely with the CEO,Chief of Staff and the Senior Leaders of the organisation to turn strategy into action, sharpen our external voice, and drive initiatives that matter for our members

 

What you’ll do

  • Shape strategy & planning: Run OCEO planning rhythms (long-term, quarterly, annual) and craft high quality board/executive materials (CEO reports, Board papers and risk and project updates).
  • Elevate executive presence: Manage the CEO’s external engagement pipeline and prepare compelling briefings, speeches, and talking points.
  • Lead cross functional projects: Drive strategic, external facing initiatives that require strong collaboration and crisp execution.
  • Deliver insight: Provide strategic and financial analysis; build robust business cases and translate complex issues for senior audiences.
  • Support special projects (as needed): Contribute to end-to-end M&A activities (target screening, modelling/valuation, due diligence coordination, integration planning).
  • Lift team performance: Coach team mates, strengthen processes and documentation, and champion a strong risk culture.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in strategy, planning, and stakeholder engagement (in‑house strategy/Chief of Staff/consulting highly regarded).
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis skills; proven business case development.
  • Excellent communication and executive storytelling (PowerPoint) with advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of superannuation/financial markets and the regulatory landscape (or the ability to ramp quickly).
  • Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
  • You embrace Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiency and uplift quality.
