About the Role
Reporting to the Company Secretary, you will lead this pivotal 12-month contract, assessing HESTA's governance framework against better practice and emerging regulatory expectations, then designing an uplifted framework spanning Board and Committee governance, delegations, policies and reporting. A central focus will be an enhanced Board and Committee skills matrix framework, giving you the chance to showcase your strategic thinking at the highest level. Beyond the technical scope, you will be contributing to a fund whose purpose is improving retirement outcomes for health and community services workers, giving your expertise real, tangible meaning.
- Design and embed an enhanced Board and Committee skills matrix framework
- Develop tools, templates and reporting frameworks for sustained governance improvement
- Interpret emerging prudential requirements and translate them into practical practice
- Provide technical governance advice and quality assurance on Board and Committee materials
About You
You bring senior experience in governance, company secretariat, risk or regulatory advisory roles within highly regulated environments, along with a track record of designing and implementing governance frameworks or Board/Committee capability processes. You're comfortable interpreting regulatory change and operating confidently at Board and Executive level. A degree in Law, Business, Governance or a related field is required, and a governance-related professional qualification (such as Governance Institute of Australia) is highly regarded. If you've been looking for a company secretariat leadership role or a senior governance advisory position, we'd love to hear from you.
