As the Senior React Developer, you will provide technical leadership in building HESTA's investment digital capabilities. This key position will help shape our investment systems architecture while delivering critical digital solutions for our Asset Allocation and Compliance Tool.
In this role, you will collaborate with members of the investment team to collate, understand and maintain clear digital requirements to drive:
• Lead the technical design and development of React-based user interface components
• Provide technical oversight across our investment digital ecosystem
• Drive the implementation of investment digital workflows and automation
• Work with AWS Lakehouse and various investment systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional visualization outcomes
• Mentor team members and contribute to our technical best practices
In addition to hands on development, you will provide technical oversight across digital designs, reviewing designs and code of other team members and mentoring to ensure optimal technical solutions are provided.
About you:
Essential technical knowledge required for this role includes strong experience building modern components with React and advanced proficiency in multiple languages preferably React JS, Node.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS3, React Native, Python, Integration patterns such as GraphQL, AWS, SQL, AZURE, CI/CD tools such as bit bucket, browser stack, Veracode and Authentication systems. Also experience with third party integrations involving RESTful APIs utilizing authentication methods like OAuth, API keys, Bearer Tokens and JWT tokens.
Also essential is knowledge of superannuation and investment data management platforms such as portfolio management systems, risk/performance systems, Bloomberg, Eagle, Markit, GoldenSource. Ideally you will have a passion for investments and have knowledge of investment instruments (fixed income, equities, derivatives, unlisted etc).
You will be able to demonstrate expertise in complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution of issues within open-source applications. You will have experience architecting secure web applications, with a clear understanding of current web application security threats and experience in mitigating them. You have an excellent understanding of digital web development particularly within highly governed corporate environments.
