Join HESTA’s Risk function during an exciting period of growth as Senior Manager – Risk Frameworks & Systems. Reporting to the Head of Risk, you’ll lead the strategic evolution of HESTA’s Risk Management Framework (RMF), ensuring it remains fit for purpose, aligned to APRA requirements and leading practice, and enables confident, risk-informed decision making. You’ll partner with the CRO, Executive, Board, Risk Leadership Team and business leaders to strengthen HESTA’s risk maturity and three lines of accountability.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Manage, coach and develop a high-performing Risk Frameworks & Systems, Data and Reporting team.
  • Lead the evolution of HESTA’s Risk Management Framework, policies, risk appetite and methodologies.
  • Ensure alignment with APRA prudential standards, regulatory expectations and leading practice.
  • Strengthen the three lines of accountability and enterprise risk maturity.
  • Provide trusted risk advice and insights to the CRO, Executive and Board.
  • Lead strategic risk reporting and oversee the GRC platform and roadmap.
  • Partner across HESTA to embed risk practices and enable better risk-informed decisions.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

You’re a strategic and commercially minded risk leader with the credibility to influence across a complex organisation. You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience designing or re-engineering risk frameworks, ideally in financial services or superannuation.
  • Extensive experience leading high performing teams across risk frameworks, reporting and GRC systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the three lines of accountability and APRA requirements.
  • Proven experience developing structured risk reporting and presenting to Executive leadership and Board/Risk Committees.
  • Experience overseeing with GRC technology platforms (Archer) and associated product roadmaps.
  • Exceptional influencing, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in Risk, Business or a related discipline.
