We’re seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Insurance Optimisation to join our high-performing Member Services Performance (MSP) team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll influence outcomes across our insurance ecosystem, drive governance excellence, and partner with senior stakeholders to optimise performance and member outcomes.

 

Reporting to the Head of Member Services Performance, you’ll work closely with the MSP team, the Chief Experience Officer, Line 1 Risk, Enterprise Risk and Regulatory, Compliance and Legal teams - while managing critical relationships with our insurers and external partners.

 

You’ll play a key role in strengthening our commercial governance, enhancing insurer performance, and ensuring our members receive the best possible insurance outcomes.

 

What You’ll Do

 

You’ll bring structure, insight, and leadership to a complex and high-impact role:

 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver insurance optimisation initiatives that enhance member experience and service delivery.
  • Develop and lead implementation of strategic insurance service model solutions to optimise outcomes to members.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing uplift of our Vendor Management Framework for insurance partners.
  • Drive robust commercial governance, including contract management, obligations tracking, and decision documentation.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring, reporting, and data integrity frameworks to support business and regulatory outcomes.
  • Oversee financial governance, including invoice management, expenditure tracking, and SOW oversight.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

You’re a commercially minded leader who thrives in complex environments and brings clarity to ambiguity:

 

  • Proven experience in working across various insurance operating models, commercial governance and strategic vendor management within superannuation, insurance, financial services and/or consulting.
  • Strong understanding of group insurance in superannuation and policy frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in contract management, commercial negotiations, and performance reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and executives.
  • A track record of strategic problem solving, navigating risk, and managing escalations.
  • A curious, forward-thinking mindset with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, law, or a related discipline.
