Careers with Impact
More than one million Australians trust us with their money, and that trust shapes how we work every day. Our members sit at the centre of everything we do, guiding our decisions and the impact we strive to make.
We’re looking for people who are purpose-driven and accountable, who value inclusion and collaboration, and who are proactive in managing risk to protect our members’ long-term outcomes. In return, you’ll be part of an organisation where your work contributes to strong returns, real-world impact, and a culture that reflects the communities our members serve.
Bring your authentic and passionate self to this exceptional role #careerswithimpact
We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to be a senior member of our Investment Analytics and Reporting team, providing specialist support and leading the delivery of complex analytics initiatives across the function. You’ll design and implement enhancements to analytics, data workflows and visualisations, then transition them into BAU with clear documentation and handover.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys problem solving, creative solutions and building things end to end: building dashboards that bring performance and risk data to life, automating the routine so the team can focus on higher-value work, and contributing to the data pipelines. You’ll also play a mentoring role, helping uplift the technical capability of junior analysts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the delivery of complex analytics initiatives and uplifts: designing, building and implementing changes, then transitioning them into BAU ownership with clear documentation and handover
- Triaging and prioritising data and visualisation requirements
- Designing and building dashboards and visualisations that bring performance and risk data together for Investment teams and broader stakeholders
- Contributing to the design and development of data pipelines and data assets using Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Supporting and driving delivery of complex analytics and regulatory projects, coordinating requirements, testing, vendor liaison and implementation
- Designing and implementing automated solutions using Python and SQL to streamline routine tasks, automate data ingestion and transformation, and enhance operational efficiency
- Establishing and maintaining accurate documentation of process maps, procedures, workflows and system configurations, and embedding robust controls
- Mentoring junior analysts through code review, pairing and knowledge sharing
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, and contributing to broader investment projects
What you’ll bring:
- Strong practical Python and SQL to extract, clean, transform and automate investment or financial data at scale
- A demonstrated track record designing and building data visualisations and dashboards (e.g. Power BI)
- A working understanding of investment data, ideally including performance measurement, multi asset class attribution and investment risk concepts
- Comfort working with data pipelines and cloud data workflows
- Several years in an investment analytics role, including projects or initiatives you led from initial request through to delivery and handover
- Experience leading projects and system implementations, managing vendors, and mentoring or guiding junior team members
- A background from a super fund, custodian or fund manager
