Are you an experienced risk specialist ready to pivot your career and make an incredible impact? Join our Strategy team in an exciting new role.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

Reporting to the General Manager, Strategic Planning, this role will be responsible for developing and executing the risk practices of the Strategy function (comprising Strategy, People & Culture, Empowered Intelligence, Product and Retirement teams) including embedding and operationalising key elements of HESTA’s Risk Management Framework.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Risk oversight and analysis: oversight of the Strategy team’s risks; review and report on risk indicators; data governance and quality assurance.
  • Risk monitoring and testing: conduct risk assessments; identify, capture and manage incidents in GRC system; conduct quality and completeness reviews; develop, assess, monitor and test business controls within the Strategy team.
  • Risk engagement: work collaboratively with the Enterprise Risk team and Risk Partners across the businesses to implement and monitor risk processes, support the Strategy team risk forums and contribute to enterprise-wide risk community of practice. 
  • Risk culture and capability: support with delivering risk-focused thought leadership, training, and change management to embed a strong risk culture. 

 

About You: 

 

You will have experience in a similar role, ideally from financial services and/or consulting firms. Your breadth of knowledge and experience spans across the three lines of accountability model, leading risk initiatives and projects, risk management frameworks, analysis and reporting, GRC systems coupled with a passion for keeping abreast of emerging, regulatory requirements and standards. 

 

You are agile in your approach with intellectual curiosity and effective communication, influencing and stakeholder relationship management across all levels.

 

Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or risk management related discipline are essential.
