Are you a compliance professional with a passion for investigation and problem-solving?
HESTA has an opportunity for a Reportable Incident Specialist to join our team on a 15-month parental leave maximum term contract. Commencing 1st September 2025.
As our Reportable Incident Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our fund's compliance integrity through effective assessment, investigation, and reporting of compliance incidents to regulators. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive process improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll bring a natural ability to understand diverse perspectives and build consensus, skillfully navigating relationships both within your immediate team and across the broader organization.
Your day will see you:
- Ensuring incidents are assessed and investigated for reportability within regulatory timeframes
- Managing and uplifting the breach reporting processes
- Driving continuous improvement in the compliance assessment processes
- Developing investigation strategies and preparing internal reports
- Drafting memos for incident investigation outcomes
- Maintaining HESTA’s breach register
About You:
- Extensive experience in superannuation fund operations and regulatory requirements
- Deep understanding of ASIC, APRA, and OAIC regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record in incident management within superannuation
- Strong investigative mindset with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
