In this senior role, you’ll work at the heart of our Regulatory Engagement function—partnering with purpose to influence outcomes that shape our business, support our members, and drive best practices. You’ll join a high-performing team, collaborate across the organisation, and shape the way we engage and respond in a complex, regulated environment.
The Regulatory Engagement Partner reports to the General Manager Regulatory Engagement and through collaborative partnering provides technical support. guidance and advisory to the Regulator Response Team, Regulator Engagement Lead, the broader Regulatory Engagement team, HESTA’s Leadership team and other stakeholders in business teams.
What You’ll Do
You’ll help shape our regulatory engagement strategy and ensure that we remain resilient, informed, and proactive. This includes:
Providing expert advice, technical support and leadership across HESTA on regulatory engagement and expectations.
Championing continuous improvement in how we engage with and respond to regulators. Bringing thought leadership and leading practice to build regulatory resilience across the organisation.
Supporting strategic communications and reporting to the Board and Executive on regulatory developments and emerging risks.
Acting as a trusted advisor to the Regulator Response Team, Regulatory Engagement Lead, leadership, and business teams across the fund.
What You’ll Bring
You’re a passionate regulatory engagement partner with deep expertise and significant experience working with a Regulatory body that regulates within financial services and/or superannuation.
You have demonstrated experience in interpreting legislative and regulatory requirements into simplified language. You thrive in complexity, have excellent communication skills, and are known for building trust and influencing outcomes with impact. You excel at navigating stakeholder dynamics, influencing at all levels and bring clarity to complexity. With strategic insight, and the gravitas to lead with confidence, you inspire trust to deliver results.
Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a business, finance, law, risk management or related discipline coupled with understanding of relevant legislation, standards and regulatory obligations related to the superannuation industry.
