Due to an internal move, we’re looking for a Product Oversight Manager to join our growing team and take ownership of how our products are governed, delivered, and maintained.

 

Reporting to the General Manager - Product, you’ll lead the Product Oversight team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet regulatory requirements and, most importantly, the needs of our members. You’ll work closely with the second line risk and compliance teams to ensure first line controls remain within HESTA’s risk appetite while also collaborating across the business including Investment Management, Investment Execution, Member Services and Operations, Marketing, Member Engagement, and the Strategy team.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Lead and evolve product control frameworks to ensure compliance with all product-related regulatory obligations, including Member Outcomes Assessments (MOA), Design & Distribution Obligations (DDO), APRA reporting, and disclosure.
  • Manage and oversee Product Governance Forums, including preparation of reports.
  • Drive effective disclosure delivery, managing end-to-end processes for Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), Financial Services Guides, Significant Event Notices (SENs) and related documents.
  • Monitor and strengthen the first line control environment for product—supporting incident response, remediation, and continuous improvement.
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team, setting clear goals, driving accountability, and promoting a collaborative culture of excellence.

 

About You

 

You’re an experienced product professional with a track record of delivering within highly regulated environments—ideally in superannuation or financial services. You bring a deep understanding of product governance, regulatory compliance, and disclosure requirements. You also bring:

  • A people-first leadership style and passion for developing/mentoring teams
  • Experience across product compliance regulatory obligations 
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape, including ASIC and APRA obligations
  • Project management experience including process and systems improvements
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline
  • Certification in project delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of Superannuation RG146 will be highly regarded.
