In this newly created role of Portfolio Manager – Portfolio Strategy, you'll have the opportunity to positively impact member outcomes while working with a leading investment team. Key responsibilities include leading the development of tailored investment solutions for accumulation and retirement products, while establishing and maintaining strategic and medium-term asset allocation frameworks. You'll oversee portfolio risk management and performance analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement investment strategies, and provide leadership and mentorship to investment analysts within your team.
The position leads strategic and medium-term asset allocation analysis, ensures regulatory compliance (including RIC, APRA, ASIC, SIS Act, and YFYS requirements), and collaborates with Research teams to continuously refine allocation methodologies in response to market conditions, economic cycles, and member demographics, all while focusing on enhancing long-term member outcomes.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in strategic asset allocation and portfolio management, complemented by a strong background in statistical/econometric modelling and quantitative analysis. You'll need a deep understanding of portfolio construction and risk modelling, coupled with demonstrated experience in people leadership and team development. Knowledge of the Australian superannuation system and regulatory requirements is essential, as is a track record of managing multiple stakeholders and complex projects.
Your skill set should include advanced portfolio optimisation and risk modelling capabilities, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. We're looking for someone who excels in strategic thinking and decision-making, with proven leadership and team management experience.
