Are you passionate about creating positive employee experiences and fostering a dynamic workplace? HESTA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Advisory Consultant to join our People & Culture team for a 12-month maximum term contract.
As a People Advisory Consultant, you’ll be the first point of contact for employee and leader enquiries, delivering comprehensive people advisory solutions across the employee lifecycle. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless employee experiences, driving process improvements, and supporting the operational needs of our People & Culture function.
Your day will see you:
- Provide first-level advice and support on policies, enterprise agreements, benefits, leave, and other people-related matters.
- Assess and respond to queries, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and enterprise agreements.
- Coordinate employee changes and lifecycle administration, including documentation and record management.
- Collaborate with Payroll and the broader People & Culture team to deliver positive people outcomes.
- Support cyclical People & Culture activities, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Contribute to process enhancements and promote a self-service culture.
About you:
- Experience in a People & Culture advisory or operational role, handling employee queries.
- Proficiency in People & Culture information systems (SAP Success Factors experience highly desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to interpret policies and enterprise agreements.
- Basic knowledge of employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to optimise systems and processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Tertiary qualification in human resources or related discipline, or equivalent experience (desired).
