Reporting to the Technology Delivery and Success Manager and working closely with our Delivery Lead, you’ll help shape how we work, enabling high-performing, cross-functional squads to deliver value effectively and sustainably.
What You’ll Do
Iteration Planning & Execution
- Facilitate core agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, showcases, and retrospectives.
- Support the team in setting achievable sprint goals and maintaining focus on delivery.
- Ensure visibility and flow of work through agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Agile Practice & Team Coaching
- Champion agile values and principles, tailoring practices to suit the squad’s maturity and context.
- Coach team members in adopting and embedding agile disciplines such as story slicing, estimation, and prioritisation.
Drive Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
- Partner with Product Owners to keep backlogs refined, prioritised, and meaningful.
- Collaborate with other Iteration Managers and the Delivery Lead to manage dependencies across squads.
Support Security, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure delivery aligns with HESTA’s security, compliance, and risk frameworks (ISO27001, CPS234, NIST).
- Work closely with security teams to proactively manage integration and delivery risk.
Champion Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of curiosity, feedback, and problem-solving.
- Contribute to our Communities of Practice (CoP) and help evolve the way we deliver across HESTA.
What You’ll Bring
You are an experienced Iteration Manager who thrives in a complex, fast-paced, and agile delivery environment. You’ve led project delivery as an Iteration Manager or Scrum Master, ideally in financial services, superannuation or consulting.
You have deep understanding of Agile frameworks, tools and techniques: e.g. Scrum, Kanban, PI (Program Increment), planning, work breakdown, automated testing, CICD etc. You engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and know how to bring out the best in cross-functional squads.
Tertiary qualifications in a technology, business or a related discipline coupled with Agile Delivery or Scrum certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe) are highly regarded.
