Lead and Innovate as our Insurance Claims Manager at HESTA
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for optimising servicing to help people face the future with confidence? HESTA is seeking an Insurance Claims Manager to drive strategic outcomes, lead a high-performing team, and ensure exceptional member and beneficiary experiences in insured and non-insured claims.
What You’ll Do:
In this role you’ll be at the forefront of delivering fair, efficient and member-centric claims outcomes, ensuring our members and their beneficiaries face the future with confidence. Your expertise in stakeholder management will be key to building strong relationships with internal team and external partners, including our administrator and insurer.
- Lead the Claims Services: You will be responsible for the end-to-end claims journeys, including claims administration processes, business rules, correspondence, insurer and administrator claims management, Trustee claims reviews and decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivering exceptional claims servicing. You will monitor adherence to HESTA policies, frameworks, processes, business rules and contracts and ensure they remain fit for purpose.
- Team Leadership: You will be an enthusiastic and passionate people leader with demonstrated ability in helping your team deliver the best possible outcomes, helping to drive continuous improvement, with effective communication and influencing skills to engage the team to achieve outstanding results. You will are passionate about growth through ongoing development and support.
- Partner Management: You will be a strategic thinker and have the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally with member/beneficiary outcomes at the forefront of every engagement.
- Optimize Processes: Analyze performance data and trends to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to refine claims processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational controls are in place and robust to allow the Trustee to meet its obligations. Oversee the accuracy of disclosures, including APRA annual reporting and Product Disclosure Statements. Ensure compliance with superannuation and insurance legislation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a relevant field. RG 146 compliance required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in insurance claims management. Deep understanding of superannuation and insurance legislation, industry standards, and claims processes.
- Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, strategically manage third-party partnerships, and drive continuous improvement. Strong analytical skills and experience with regulatory compliance.
