Careers with Impact
More than one million Australians trust us with their money, and that trust shapes how we work every day. Our members sit at the centre of everything we do, guiding our decisions and the impact we strive to make.
We’re looking for people who are purpose-driven and accountable, who value inclusion and collaboration, and who are proactive in managing risk to protect our members’ long-term outcomes. In return, you’ll be part of an organisation where your work contributes to strong returns, real-world impact, and a culture that reflects the communities our members serve.
Bring your authentic and passionate self to this exceptional role #careerswithimpact
Lead resilience. Shape decisions. Protect what matters.
We’re looking for a senior leader to step into a pivotal role, partnering across the organisation to define, embed and elevate how resilience shows up in the way we operate, make decisions and deliver for members.
This is not a traditional risk role. It’s about preparing the fund to face a VUCA world, connecting dots across the business, strengthening how we think about disruption, and ensuring we’re set up to respond with confidence in an increasingly complex environment.
What you’ll do
• Set and lead HESTA’s enterprise-wide resilience strategy across operations, third-party risk and business continuity with a commercial mindset
• Define what “resilience” looks like across people, processes, technology and partners, and build the roadmap to get there
• Partner with senior leaders to embed resilience into day-to-day decision-making, planning and delivery
• Identify vulnerabilities and lead scenario modelling and stress testing to strengthen organisational readiness
• Uplift third-party risk and critical operations frameworks in line with CPS230 and evolving regulatory expectations
• Drive enterprise-wide capability uplift, ensuring resilience becomes a way of working, not just a compliance exercise
• Provide clear, strategic insights to the COO, CRO, Executive and Board
What you’ll bring
• Proven senior leadership experience in operational resilience, risk or advisory within financial services
• Deep expertise in resilience frameworks, third-party risk and navigating complex regulatory environments
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect risk, operations and strategy
• Experience influencing and partnering with Executives, senior stakeholders and at all levels to achieve desired outcomes
• A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to make tough calls
• A passion for building capability and embedding sustainable, organisation-wide change
If you’re a strategic thinker who thrives in complexity and wants to shape how a leading super fund prepares for the future, we’d love to hear from you.
