Are you an experienced Financial Crime Intelligence and Analytics Specialist ready to pivot your career and make an incredible impact? Join our Financial Crimes Intelligence and Operations team going through an exciting growth phase.
What You’ll Do:
As the Financial Crime Intelligence and Analytics Specialist, you’ll gather data and intelligence at business, domestic and global levels to identify current/emerging threats/trends in the fraud and financial crime landscape. Leveraging technology and analytics, you will be responsible for designing and reviewing HESTA’s monitoring and detection fraud and financial crime strategies. You will be working closely with our business teams as well as third-parties to ensure regulatory obligations are met, while safeguarding HESTA and our members.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the internal and external risk assessments of the financial crime environment to identify current and emerging threats and impacts to the business.
- Provide data, analysis and insights to enable accurate fraud and financial crime risk assessments to be undertaken at a customer, business and channel level including control effectiveness.
- Review financial crime monitoring coverage internally and with third- parties for AML, sanctions, fraud, scams typologies and provide recommendation to improve coverage.
- Monitor third-party performance across the value chain providing expertise to ensure service performance is achieved.
- Provide SME expertise in internal and external industry forums to share key learnings and insights.
- Develop performance reporting including dashboards to demonstrate performance, highlight insights and recommendations into strategies.
- Develop monthly Management and Board reports including key statistics and information critical in the Fraud and Financial Crime environment.
- Provide data and intelligence demonstrating HESTA’s adherence to internal policies and regulatory obligations.
About You:
You will have extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within financial services. Your breadth of experience spans across data analytics fraud and financial crime technology and emerging technology trends and tools. You are highly analytical with effective communication skills and ability to translate and present complex data, insights and solutions to stakeholders at all levels.
Tertiary qualifications in a business or technology related discipline with Artificial Intelligence coupled with specialised fraud or financial crime certifications (e.g. ACAMS) will be advantageous.
