Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for transforming data into impact? Join HESTA’s high-performing Risk team in a newly created pivotal role. As our Data, Reporting and Insights Lead, you’ll lead and execute elements of the Risk Reporting Framework for Enterprise Risk to generate reports suitable for executive and Board. You’ll provide analysis and interpretation of data from HESTA’s GRC system for risk reporting purposes, create actionable insights from complex risk data, supporting internal and external stakeholders—from various teams to executives and Board—make confident, informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll lead enterprise-wide risk reporting and analysis—crafting a narrative from data that informs strategy, strengthens governance, and drives innovation.
- Design and implement insightful, fit-for-purpose risk reporting aligned to HESTA’s Risk Management Framework and policies.
- Build impactful dashboards and reports that support key stakeholders—including the Executive team and Board.
- Transform complex data into clear, meaningful insights that identify emerging risks and strategic opportunities.
- Partner across the business to drive risk foresight, using data analytics (and emerging tools including AI) to stay ahead of the curve.
- Champion a culture of accountability by embedding clear, consistent risk reporting practices.
- Evolve our reporting capability—continuously improving how risk insights are generated, shared and acted upon.
What You’ll Bring
- We’re looking for a forward-thinking risk and data professional who thrives on solving complex problems and creating clarity from complexity.
- Proven experience in a senior risk, data, or insights lead role—ideally in superannuation or financial services.
- Strong background in GRC systems (e.g. Archer, Protecht) and automation of reporting processes.
- Advanced skills in data extraction, reporting, transformation and visualisation using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Confidence developing and presenting insights to executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of risk frameworks, trend analysis, and regulatory context (e.g. APRA, ASIC)
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
- A curious, continuous improvement mindset with an eye for innovation (including use of AI and analytics tools)
- Relevant qualifications in commerce, finance, data science, data analytics, risk and compliance or related discipline.
