What You’ll Do:  

 

Deliver a leading data platform offering by  

  • Building, implementing and testing data processing pipelines preferably using Python and dbt in AWS. 

  • Optimising data models and transformations for performance and efficiency. 

  • Ensuring data quality by implementing appropriate testing mechanisms. 

  • Collaborating with stakeholders including internal and external teams to understand and meet their data requirement needs. 

  • Maintaining documentation for data models, pipelines, and processes. 

 

About You:  

 

  • Experience as a Data Platform Engineer or Developer preferably within financial services and/or superannuation fund industries. 

  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, ETL workflows, and scripting. 

  • Expertise in using dbt for data transformation, modelling, and documentation. 

  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating data. 

  • Knowledge/experience of AWS and Azure cloud services, in particular: RedShift, Glue, DynamoDB, S3, (optional ADF, Fabric). 

  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and best practices. 

  • Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and architectures. 

  • Excellent communication skills, presence and gravitas   

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Technology, Data science, Computer science, Engineering or related discipline   

  • Certifications in AWS or Azure | Cloud, Big Data, Analytics, Data Science, Databases
