Design content that matters. We’re now looking for an experienced Content Design Lead to shape how our members, employers and prospects experience HESTA across our digital ecosystem. This is a high-impact role for a lead who thrives at the intersection of UX, storytelling, data and accessibility – and who enjoys turning complexity into clarity.
Reporting to the Digital and Content Design Manager, you’ll lead strategic content design across HESTA’s website, app, member portal and conversational channels. You’ll elevate key member journeys (join, contributions, insurance, retirement and claims), embed UX-led content design practices, and help mentor the capability of our Content team.
You’ll work closely with our content strategist, product owners, SMEs and experience partners to deliver personalised, accessible and performance-driven content that supports informed decision-making and stronger engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Lead content design strategy and execution across HESTA’s digital platforms
- Co-own the content design roadmap and AI content strategy
- Design and optimise UX content for key member journeys and evergreen experiences
- Lead conversational design for chatbots and automated messaging, including human hand-offs
- Mentor and coach Content Specialists, supporting team operations and capability uplift
- Partner cross-functionally to evolve member, employer and prospect experiences
- Use Adobe Analytics to measure performance and continuously optimise content
- Ensure content quality, compliance, accessibility and consistency with HESTA’s brand voice
- Support BAU and priority updates in Adobe Experience Manager when required.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a senior content design or lead role (ideally within superannuation and/or financial services)
- Deep expertise in content design, UX writing and digital storytelling
- Leadership capability with experience coaching and mentoring teams
- Exceptional ability to simplify complex information into clear, inclusive content
- Confidence working in agile environments with multiple teams and senior stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics
- Solid understanding of SEO, CX, UX and digital publishing best practices
- Experience using DAM and collaboration tools (e.g. Monday.com, Figma, Miro, Atlassian)
- Relevant tertiary qualification; UX, CX or SEO professional development desirable.
