Careers with Impact
More than one million Australians trust us with their money, and that trust shapes how we work every day. Our members sit at the centre of everything we do, guiding our decisions and the impact we strive to make.
We’re looking for people who are purpose-driven and accountable, who value inclusion and collaboration, and who are proactive in managing risk to protect our members’ long-term outcomes. In return, you’ll be part of an organisation where your work contributes to strong returns, real-world impact, and a culture that reflects the communities our members serve.
Bring your authentic and passionate self to this exceptional role #careerswithimpact
You will spend your days helping HESTA members understand and take control of their financial futures, across every stage of their working lives. Your days will be varied, moving between group seminars, one-on-one member meetings, and employer site visits, so no two weeks look the same.
This is a field-based advisory and education role within HESTA's Member Engagement and Growth team. You will deliver General and limited Personal Advice alongside group education programs, working with members to strengthen their super literacy and confidence. You will report to the Manager of Advice and collaborate closely with Superannuation Advisers, Financial Planners, Member Education Managers and the Partnership Engagement team.
Day to day you will:
- Deliver seminars, workshops and one-on-one sessions to help members make confident super decisions across their working lives
- Provide personal advice in line with HESTA's AFSL, covering insurance, investment options, contributions and retirement planning
- Build and maintain relationships with key employers, including regional sites, to create regular access to members in their workplaces
- Develop and refine member engagement programs that increase financial literacy and deepen HESTA brand advocacy
- Regular travel is part of the role, including regional overnight stays, so a current driver's licence is essential.
About you
You are an empathetic, qualified adviser who loves helping everyday people navigate their super. You bring a natural ability to simplify complex concepts in the room, whether that is a boardroom seminar or a kitchen table conversation. You thrive working autonomously and enjoy the variety that comes with regional and field-based work. Time management skills are critical for this role coupled with
- Current registration on the ASIC Financial Advice Register (FAR) and completion of the FASEA exam
- Experience as a Financial Planner or Superannuation Adviser with a solid grasp of the advice process and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across members, employers and internal stakeholders
- Comfortable working autonomously in remote or field-based environments
- Sound knowledge of superannuation legislation, SIS Act, SG requirements, relevant tax law and AFSL compliance obligations
