The opportunity

 

We have an excellent opportunity for an Investment Analyst to join our Quantitative Analysis team. This is a role where you can contribute to the multi-asset class quant models and strategies that are deployed across our whole portfolio and also get involved with research projects to assess exciting new investment opportunities. 

 

Key activities will include supporting the development and maintenance of HESTA’s core asset allocation models, including strategic and dynamic return forecasting models. Also collaborating with various investment management teams to assist with developing and maintaining capital market distribution and correlation assumptions, developing bespoke stress testing and contributing to reviews of investment strategies and asset allocation. 

 

You will also have the opportunity to share your thoughts on evolving market opportunities, risks, portfolio construction techniques, valuation approaches and product design. 


About You
 
With a keen interest in financial markets and global economic systems, you have been developing your knowledge and understanding of key asset classes, asset allocation and portfolio construction techniques (including risk factor approach) and an understanding of the relationships between economics and financial markets.

 

To be successful in this role you will need a collaborative approach and enjoy working with different teams. You will also need to be tertiary qualified in finance, economics, science or engineering and be proficient coding in Python and VBA.
