HESTA have teamed up with Future Women to connect incredibly talented women who are looking at retuning to the workforce (or considering a career change) with a 16 week career placement program at HESTA.


You will work alongside some amazing people, whilst doing real work that will make an impact on HESTA members. With flexible options you’ll be able to participate in this program on a part time or full-time basis with hybrid work options (includes ability to work up-to 50/50 - remotely and in the office).  


We’ve listed some opportunities below. No direct experience is required. We’d love to hear from you if you have an interest in developing your capability in this space with some transferable skills from other roles. With opportunities across Melbourne and Sydney you will have the opportunity to work in one of these three areas, full training, guidance, support and mentoring will be provided:


Do you love numbers, data reporting and spreadsheets? A placement in our investments team might be for you!

If you have strong attention to detail and an eye to pick things up, you could spend your placement supporting our Portfolio Managers by providing due diligence and monitoring by reviewing monthly and quarterly returns and reports, record keeping of investment flows, maintain asset classes and review on monthly returns and reports and some ad hoc support activities.


Risk and Compliance 
Is your super-skill that you are organized, detailed and a great planner? 

Our Risk and Compliance team need support updating and maintaining policies and procedures, reporting and keeping up-to-date with risk and compliance checklists and obligations. You’ll also assist with the preparation of compliance reports and any ad hoc related duties in this space. You might have a background as a BA or in auditing or quality assurance or just an interest in exploring a career in this space.


Investment Execution 
The best things in life are…data? You LOVE data! And that works for us!

From analysis to data management and systems that monitor and maintain large data-sets, this role will support the team by looking at the quality of data feeds, analysis, research and data reconciliation, including ad hoc duties supporting the team. 


Are you an administration queen?
Are you everyone’s go-to ‘she-makes-it-happen-somehow-always’?
Are you the master of planning, coordinating, organizing and making sure that everyone is exactly where they need to be and has exactly what they need to have? Across any of the three areas above, there will also be an opportunity for someone to join us in a administration and support role, including reporting, data collection, calendar and event management, some PA type of work, including ad hoc administrative tasks
